"Maleza" explores the professional and personal lives of three women.

Three women who dedicate their lives to the arts, women from different disciplines, each at a very different stage in their professional and personal journeys.

They share their stories from the beginning — the back-and-forth between precariousness and success, the power of passion in the face of sacrifice, and the impact of gender and origin.

Blanca del Barrio through theater, Gema Martínez through music, and Mari Paula through dance are pioneers, claiming their place in the already challenging world of the arts.

They are the voice of many; they will be role models for those to come. They do not conform to standards , they are maleza (wild growth).
